The bathroom is a space that has undergone profound transformations over time: initially, its role was that of a utility room to be kept hidden from sight, especially from guests. Today, its function has shifted entirely, becoming a sanctuary of well-being. A modern bathroom now increasingly resembles a small home spa—a place to pamper oneself and recharge. This shift in function is also reflected in the layout of its elements: while the sanitary area remains the most private, the vanity and shower (or bathtub) have become prominent, accessible design features. In more spacious homes, showers and bathtubs are often integrated directly into the master suite, creating a cohesive, private living space. Consequently, furnishings have evolved, moving beyond mere functionality to embrace beauty and elegance. The selection of every element, including the flooring, has become a design statement that must reflect the overall mood of the home.
