IN 2018, COPPER RETURNS TO THE SPOTLIGHT IN INTERIOR DESIGN

Copper is perhaps the material humanity has used the longest: the oldest discovered copper artifacts date back as far as 8,700 BC. It was widely used in Roman times, which gave rise to the names we know today, from aes aeris to aeramen and finally copper. In the 1920s, copper, alongside brass and bronze, began to be employed for home accessories, enriching spaces through curated details: it was used for mirrors, bar carts, the feet of sofas and armchairs, as well as chandeliers, table lamps, handles, and furniture knobs.
