LINA OBREGÓN & CAROLINA GALAN The new Thea upholstered system stems from a feminine interpretation of forms and the balance of seemingly antithetical orientations: comfortable yet essential, cozy yet orderly, dynamic yet rigorous, lightweight yet monolithic. Its eclecticism lies in the harmonious exploration of different perspectives: orthogonal from the front, slanted from the side, and concave from the back. Thus, the sofa finds its originality and dynamism in the fusion of these languages—a play of projections and silhouettes that lend the design a unique and recognizable signature. Its femininity is enhanced by the upholstery: like a garment, it wraps and drapes the volumes, with folds that adhere to and perfectly trace the contours of the modules. Extreme care is dedicated to tailoring details, in keeping with the tenets of Italian sartorial craftsmanship, through the use of different stitching, bias binding, and contrasting piping in three different colors (white, dove grey, and dark grey) to define corners, curves, and shapes. Six functional accessories complete the collection: a headrest cushion, a lumbar cushion, a square cushion, a quilt, a throw, and a tray.
