driade | italic lace by maurizio galante & tal lancman
“Siena 1440, the city and the year in which original lace items were made that provided the inspiration for this range of table accessories. Back then they were made with a crochet hook, now they are made using photogravure. They give a modern twist to an ancient version, a memory and style soundly based in the traditions of this part of Italy”. This gave rise to “Italic Lace”, a collection of refined placemats and coasters, designed for those who love to dress the table with elegance that is never casual. Finishes include shiny brass, glossy black, red and the more classical white.
driade | GEAR by philippe bestenheider
Philippe Bestenheider puts his name to a collection of fine, elegant vases for Driade. A tall vase, a medium vase and a table centre cup, with sophisticated matt white, matt black and gold finishes. “The shape of the GEAR vases is a play on geometry, based on the shape of gears. The same gear shape crosses vertically and horizontally, to create the three-dimensional surface of these vases. Put together, these containers mesh perfectly, like the gears in a mechanism”.
driade | kapadokya by giorgio bonaguro
In a unique geological and archaeological scene, in distant Cappadocia, a large number of hot air balloons float into the sky at dawn, all year round. This event inspires the collection of vases Kapadokya produced in transparent borosilicate glass with copper coloured collar base. Developed in two sizes, their shapes recall the plastic roundness and poetic unstable lightness of air balloons. Sophisticated and elegant furnishing complements that are ideal to hold large colourful bouquets, and ideal also as individual protagonists.
